小柴胡湯在仲景方中是一個療效顯著，使用範圍極廣，使用頻率極高的方劑。後人對其評價很高，清代傷寒大家柯琴喻其爲「少陽樞機之劑，和解表裏之總方」。足見其在經方的代表性是何等重要。它的治療範圍目前還在繼續擴大之中，用好小柴胡湯是研究及應用傷寒方之基本功，這裡僅就個人所知來談談小柴胡湯的應用。以下就從小柴胡湯的原文、病機、組方、方義、相關問題、解析、應用等方面來談談。
