女子職業高爾夫選手參賽效率與影響因素之研究

摘要

本研究主要目的為探討2010年美國女子職業高爾夫協會選手的參賽效率，同時檢視影響選手參賽效率的決定因素。研究方法採用兩階段資料包絡分析法。第一階段衡量選手參賽效率；第二階段進一步使用Tobit迴歸分析檢視影響選手參賽效率的關鍵因素。實證結果顯示：包括台灣選手曾雅妮在內的8位選手達到參賽有效率；包括台灣選手龔怡萍、洪沁慧、與盧曉晴在內的103位選手為參賽無效率。「平均推桿數」與「獎金數」與選手參賽效率呈現顯著正相關，「開球準確率」、「開球距離」、「上果嶺成功率」呈現顯著負相關，驗證推桿、開球準確率、開球距離、上果嶺成功率為影響2010年美國女子職業高爾夫協會選手參賽效率的致勝關鍵因素。結論：本研究為國內運動領域首度嘗試運用設限資料或設限樣本模式之研究，顯示Tobit迴歸分析結果具有如何提升選手參賽效率，增加競爭力之意涵。

The purposes of this paper were to study the golfers' performance and the winning determinants of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) in 2010. This study used two-stage Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to measure the efficiency scores of lady golfers in first stage, and conducted Tobit regression analysis to explain the variations of the efficiencies of lady golfers. The main empirical results included: There were 8 golfers include Yani Tseng achieved efficient approach, and 103 golfers include Candie Kung, Amy Hung and Teresa Lu were inefficient. There were significantly positive effects of item ”putts per round” and ”money leaders” on the efficiency scores; but negative effects of item ”driving accuracy percentage,” ”driving distance,” and ”greens in regulation percentage.” These major skills were the determinant of LPGA tournaments in 2010. Conclusions revealed this study was the first attempted application of censored data model or limited dependent variables model of sports domain in Taiwan, and the results of Tobit regression analysis explained how golfers advance efficient and competitive.
