M&A is one of the entry strategies and the methods to rapid growth Companies undertake M&A when they seek to increase core competencies and resources required for their strategic intension. We try to explain recent trend of global M&A by combining the perspective of core competence with case study. We find out that the contribution of M&A is not the same to different levels in companies. The main contribution of functional level is carried out in R&D performance, core technologies, and resources obtained, while the main contribution of business level is performed in rapid growth in product bundles, which can complete the benefit of product bundling Besides, M&A contribution in corporate level is presented in cross-sale and resource allocation. Summarily, companies who concentrate more on industry related M&A cart more likely succeed in the M&A project.
