The periodontosis is the most common oral disease and the incidence of the disease is 90% in adults The scope of periodontosis includes the gums, alveolar bone and tooth ligaments The causes of the disease usually come from local and systemic factors The treatment includes cleaning, correction and operation In the view of Chinese medicine, the most common syndrome in early phase is ”weyzershanzen” and the ”shenyenkueshi” syndrome is often discovered, in later phase. The therapy with the best prognosis on clinic is to combine western and Chinese medical treatment This case presents ”piweszer” syndrome and mainly be treated with the ”GAN LUH SHIAU DWU DAN” and ”JEN REN HWO MINQ SAAN” to decrease fever, dehumidify, alleviate swelling and reduce the pain. After 4 weeks of treatment, the symptom of swelling and painful gums was obviously improved, and the patient avoided pulling out all teeth.
