背景:思覺失調症患者因功能退化而增加適應社會的困難度,由於復元的概念可超越疾病的限制,在伴隨希望的生活態度下,對病患回歸社區具有幫助。目的:探討思覺失調症住院患者的復元程度及影響因素。方法:採橫斷式研究設計,以方便取樣於中部某精神專科醫院,收集408位研究個案。研究工具含基本資料表、精神復元自評量表、復元階段量表、思覺失調症患者病識感評估量表。結果:復元程度與女性、較高的個人自信和希望、以及求助意願等,呈現正相關性。迴歸分析發現,個人自信和希望與求助意願對復元的解釋力為24.8%。實務應用:本研究結果有助於發展可增進病患自信與賦能的精神復建方案,教導症狀因應之措施,及加強社會功能和增加對未來的希望感,以協助病人邁向復元。
Background: While functional decline tends to exacerbate the difficulty of returning to the society for patients suffering from schizophrenia, the concept of recovery can be used to help the patients challenge the limitation brought by the mental disease and further to enable them develop a positive, hopeful attitude toward life to get ready for rejoining the communities. Purpose: The study aimed at examining the degree of recovery to inpatients who have suffered from schizophrenia and the factors that affect their recovery. Method: We adopted the cross-sectional study with convenient sampling and recruited 408 participants from a psychiatric hospital in the central Taiwan. The instruments in this study included Personal Data, Recovery Self-assessment Scale, Stage of Recovery Instrument, and Assessment Scale for Insights in Schizophrenia Patients. Results: We found that female participants had a higher degree of recovery. They had a greater self-confidence and sense of hope, and were more willing to seek assistance when necessary. The used correlation and regression analyses in our study displayed that self-confidence/ sense of hope and willingness of seeking help were the major recovery-affecting factors that could account for 24.8% of recovery. Implications: This study's results present an application able to strengthen clinical nursing practices and to help develop rehabilitation programs for schizophrenia patients to enhance their self-confidence and empowerment. It also can help train the patients' self-efficacy to cope with side effects, to improve social functions, to form optimism for the future, and to accelerate the progress of recovery.
