The Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) occured in malignant tumor, placenta abrupation, sepsis, snake bite usually, it also happen in head trauma cases. If the DIC develops in the operation period, it will induce hypovolemic shock due to the poor hemostasis. We report a case with DIC developed in the operation period due to head injury and discuss the pathwphysiologic mechanism of DIC which will provide some help for the managemet of DIC to clinician.
