總統選舉的空間訊息：臺灣與韓國的比較

本文透過空間訊息法，探討臺灣與韓國選舉研究中所提出的政治版圖與地域主義文化。首先在文獻上分別說明過往臺灣北藍南綠的政治版圖，以及韓國東西分歧的地域主義，介紹其於政治、社會與文化上的發展歷程。接續透過空間訊息法，此項結合空間與金融預警概念的預測方法，針對臺灣與韓國三屆總統選舉的得票率進行預測分析。使用總統選舉得票率的原因，在於選區空間範圍大、投票率高以及台韓選舉時程相近等三項主因。本文分別針對臺灣2004年、2008年與2012年國民兩黨的總統得票率，以及韓國2002年、2007年與2012年保守派與進步派政黨的總統得票率進行空間訊息預測。所使用的空間單元分別為臺灣的鄉鎮市區以及韓國的基礎自治團體行政區。分析結果顯示，臺灣與韓國總統選舉的政治版圖與地域主義，其分布樣態皆相當穩定，可透過空間訊息法進行準確預測下期各地區的得票率。其中，相較於臺灣北藍南綠的政治版圖，韓國東西分歧的地域主義樣態更為嚴峻。更進一步來說，台韓兩地的總統得票率皆具有空間集聚，適合進行空間訊息預測分析，其得票率分布型態存有空間脈絡性。

This paper aims to compare the different spatial effects of presidential elections between Taiwan and South Korea. We apply the spatial signals approach to examine the neighborhood effects, political blocs and regionalist of presidential elections in Taiwan and South Korea from 2002 to 2012, including Taiwan's presidential votes in 2004, 2008, and 2012, and South Korea's presidential votes in 2002, 2007, and 2012. The spatial units of the spatial signals approach are the townships and municipal-level divisions. The analysis results show that the spatial signals approach is a better fitting model for the outcome of the presidential elections in Taiwan and South Korea. This study concludes that the prediction accuracy of presidential elections in South Korea is better than the prediction accuracy of presidential elections in Taiwan when using the spatial signals approach. Moreover, our conclusion shows that the presidential elections in South Korea and the presidential elections in Taiwan indeed exhibit the spatial context effect.
