Correlation Analysis between Leaf and Flower Traits of "Phalaenopsis" Sogo Yukidian 'V3'

摘要


為建立蝴蝶蘭"Phalaenopsis" Sogo Yukidian 'V3'在不同蘭園栽培模式下之通用外觀品質鑑定標準,本研究自三個蘭園取得未曾抽梗大苗計222株,在催花前2天完成其葉數、雙葉幅、葉片寬度、長度、厚度等性狀之調查,然後使其抽梗開花,調查其花梗數、花梗長度、花梗直徑、花朵數、花徑、花瓣厚度等性狀,藉由這些資料進行葉片性狀與花朵品質性狀關係之探討。由典型相關性分析之典型重疊分析的結果顯示,由上向下之第1至第3片成熟葉之寬度對總開花朵數、花梗數、花徑及花梗徑所組成之開花品質性狀具有高度的相關性。顯示前3片成熟葉片之寬度較大者,可預期其未來花朵數較多、花直徑較大、花梗數較多及花梗直徑較粗,即具有較佳的開花品質表現。利用這簡易之外觀性狀指標,將有助於篩選開花品質較佳之植株。

The objective of this study was to establish a correlation between leaf traits and flower quality index applicable to "Phalaenopsis" Sogo Yukidian 'V3' plants. A total of 222 non-juvenile plants that had not spiked were collected from three nurseries. The leaf traits of each plant including leaf number, leaf span, leaf width, length, and thickness were investigated two days before spike forcing. Flowering quality including spike number, total flower number, flower size, and spike diameter were investigated. Data collected from leaf traits and flower quality traits were analyzed by canonical correlation analysis. Results indicated significant correlations between leaf traits and flower traits, especially the leaf width of the first, second and third mature leaves had high correlation with flowering quality. Those plants with wider upper three mature leaves had better flowering quality, as measured with more spikes, more and bigger flowers, and thicker spikes. These simple indicators can be used as an easy way to select plants for producing higher quality flowers.
