An Analysis of Unemployment rate of Employment Before and After the Financial Crisis in 2008

On September 15, 2008, the collapse of Lehman Brothers in the United States triggered a global financial crisis. In the following years, which affected those economies of many countries. In those years, the unemployment rate is one of the most concerned economic indicators. For example, the quantitative easing policy of the United States was based on the unemployment rate as the most important reference indicator. Reviewing the study of the unemployment rate, there is less discussion about "employees that lost their jobs due to the financial crisis." This study defines this phenomenon as "unemployment rate of employment " and analyzes the relationship between the age, the year, the industry, the education, the age and unemployment rate of employment by PivotTable. The study finds that first, the trend of "higher education in the workplace" and "aging in the workplace" are more and more obvious, and the unemployment rate of employment of low-educated workers is higher, the unemployment rate of employment of younger workers is greatly affected by changes in the economic environment, while the unemployment rate of employment of older workers declined slowly. Second, the electronic power industry was the most affected by the financial crisis. Its unemployment rate of employment was the highest in 2009, but it quickly declined in 2010. While the unemployment rate of employment of the financial insurance industry and other service industries in 2010 still rose slightly, showing that the financial crisis has sustained its impact until 2010. Third, the unemployment rate of employment of low-education and aged under 35 increased quickly in 2009 in every industry, while the unemployment rate of employment of high-education and aged above 45 declined slowly in 2010 in every industry.
