摘要

本專案旨在縮短住院化學治療病人等待化學藥物注射時間。「等待」被視為浪費時間，化學藥物治療是癌症病人主要治療方式之一，當等待注射時間愈久將使抱怨情形增加及影響滿意度。本單位於2010年8月13日至8月31日統計，病人入住病房至注射化學藥物等待時間為1194分鐘，使病人質疑照護品質，造成護理人員的壓力；分析等待時間原因並擬訂解決方案：1.修訂化學治療病人住院作業流程；2.住院前電話通知病人先禁食；3.製作出院關懷卡-下次住院抽血小叮嚀；4.製作化療抽血檢體提醒卡；5.製作化療抽血檢體收集袋。專案執行後入住病房至注射化學藥物等待時間由1194分鐘降至738分鐘，讓病人縮短等待時間，提昇服務滿意度，獲得適切醫療照護。

The purpose of this project was to reduce patient’s waiting time during their chemotherapy. ＂Waiting＂ is considered as waste of time for patients. Chemotherapy is one way of treatments for cancer patients, and waiting prior to the chemotherapy treatment can be long which may result in dissatisfaction. According to our statistics from August 13rd ~31st August 2010, the average of waiting time for a patient in receiving chemotherapy was estimated to be 1194 minutes. As the result, the nursing staff were confronting with pressure from the patients who questioned the care quality. A project was designed to solve these problems. The aims were 1. revising the administrative process of receiving chemotherapy, 2. reminding the patients by telephone nil by mouth before hospitalization, 3. designing a card reminder for blood-taking next time, 4. making a sign on the wall for medical technicians, and 5. providng a chemotherapy collection bag for blood sampling. After the implementation of the project, the waiting time was reduced from 1194 minutes to 738 minutes on average. This project has significantly decreased the waiting time and improved the care quality of the patients receiving chemotherapy.
