This study explores the relationship between meta-analysis and publishing bias. Meta-analysis is a widely used method in research; however, critiques often challenge issues related to publication bias. Studies with statistically significant results are more likely to be selected for publishing than those without. This bias increases the chance of over estimation of those significant findings. Use of qualitative and quantitative analysis to examine meta-analysis results may reduce the chance of publishing bias.
