職場健康促進改善員工健康成效

Effectiveness of an Employee Health Promotion Program at Workplace

本文係描述於職場推動健康促進方案改善員工健康之成效。根據2011年員工健康檢查100位複檢人員中,發現身體質量指數過高者佔77%,分析原因為:烹調、進食方式及外食選擇不健康、不良飲食習慣、沒有時間及運動資源不足、沒有運動伙伴及指導者、無規律運動習慣。專案小組於2011年5月至2012年2月九個月的專案推動期間,執行四項改善方案包含:(1)規劃製作相關飲食執行製作及運動相關教材與增添相關設施;(2)完整的營養諮詢及體適能相關教學活動課程;(3)製作健康儲值卡;(4)製作隨手換熱量標示餐墊。結果91位專案參與員工總體重下降3.2%,身體質量指數合格率由24.2%提升至33%,雖未達專案標準,但腰圍合格率達到專案目標,分別為男性69.2%、女性65.3%。故建議將方案推廣至全院,促使每位員工皆能持續落實健康促進於生活中,並將其推廣至病患及社區民眾。

This article describes the design, process and effectiveness of a project to improve employee's health status during a period of nine months between 2011 and 2012. Assessment of health status in a selected group of 100 hospital employees found that 77% of them were in the category of high body mass index (BMI). Significant dietary problems that were identified included unhealthy cooking methods, poor dietary patterns, higher number of eating out, lack of time and facility to exercise, lack of exercise partners and instructors, and lack of a regular exercise schedule. The employee health promotion programs instituted were: (1) improved hospital cafeteria menu, exercise equipment and facilities; (2) provided nutritional counseling and physical fitness courses; (3) designed health promotion cards; and (4) added calorie exchange chart on the cafeteria placemat. A total of 91 employees participated in this project. Total weight reduction was 3.2%; rate of body mass index within normal range increased from 24.2% to 33%; 69.2% of male and 65.3% of female reduced waist circumference set as goals in this project. The author recommended continuing this program and extending it to the rest of employees, patients and community.
