Low airfares have made global air travel more convenient to many people around the world. It has shortened the distance to various places all around the globe, causing human life patterns to change and allowing various emerging infectious diseases to become the cause of the largest number of deaths in the world. It not only triggered people to panic, but also seriously affected the national economy. During the pandemic period, people seemed to be prone to negative emotions about the unknown disease and the difficulties they encountered. Understanding and caring is the primary focus of the successful implementation of relevant policies. During the epidemic period, administrators and managers clearly defined and organized relevant policies, created positive and supportive positions, updated relevant information in a timely manner. This approach can effectively prevent the collapse of the medical system and the spread of the epidemic. This article shares the experience and response from SARS to Covid-19, and it represents perspectives from acute medical and long-term care institutions in the United States and Taiwan.
