Using Traffic Data of Websites to Explore Users' Behavior in Network Use

摘要

人類的生活與網路使用愈來愈不可分，分析使用者的網路行為可以了解他們的生活面貌。本研究建議研究者可以利用網站流量資料做為網路使用研究的初步分析資料。在本論文，我們以Alexa.com所提供的網站流量資料為例，說明利用這些資料時的應用方法與限制。

We have not been able to take out use of network from our everyday life anymore. Analyzing users' online behavior will benefit the understanding of various ways and aspects in their lives. This study suggests that researchers can use the traffic data of websites as the analytic data for primary studies when they need to perform some researches of network use. Taking the data retrieved from Alexa.com as an example, we proposed several possible applications and restrictions in the use of this kind of data in this paper.
