日本在點字圖書館的發展已達百年,各地公私立數量逾七十館,目前已整合資源並提供書目豐富的數位傳輸服務。本研究旨在探討點字圖書館的發展對日本視障圖書資源的影響,藉由文件與文獻的分析,回顧點字圖書館的發展歷程,探討對視障圖書資源的作為及所發揮的功能,並釐清與公共圖書館間的關係。研究發現,點字圖書館在不同的時期對日本的視障圖書資源有著不同的功能;結論指出,日本的視障圖書資源在製作及提供上,受到點字圖書館發展歷程中各項作為的影響,同時,點字圖書館與公共圖書館的合作,為實現共享圖書資源之重要因素。日本在視障圖書資源的製作及提供上,透過圖書內容及製作類型的分工機制、制定視障圖書製作基準等作法,值得國內參考。
The development of Braille libraries in Japan has been over 100 years. More than 70 Braille libraries integrated book resources, and have been provided digital transmission services. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the development of Braille libraries on book resources for people with visual impairments in Japan. Through documents and research literature, this study reviews the development process of Braille libraries, discusses the actions and functions of visually impaired book resources, and clarifies the relationship between Braille libraries and public libraries. This study reveals Braille libraries had different functions and influences on the book resources in Japan during different periods. The production and provision of book resources for people with visual impairments in Japan are influenced by various actions in the development of Braille libraries. In addition, the cooperative relationship between Braille libraries and public libraries is an important factor in the development of shared library resources. This study proposed following suggestions. A division of labor mechanism for the content and types of book production for people with visual impairments should be established. Moreover, it is necessary to formulate a standard for the production of visually impaired books.
