Classics collect a wide of backgrounds and levels of experiences and lead human beings take it as recognized and established value. However, classics education is commonly taught in explanation of words and introduction of characters in general education so it becomes neglected. Therefore, how to reverse traditional teaching and learning models and stereotypes, to cross disparate backgrounds in order to trigger learners’ sympathy and develop their interest in reading classics are crucial. In this paper, according to the long-term observation and reflection from my teaching experiences, I will review the core concept of classics education and analyze the difficulties in today’s classic education, furthermore, some teaching practices applying to my class will be demonstrated as well.
