Several studies have demonstrated that diabetes mellitus can be delayed or prevented in subjects with pre-diabetes by using healthy lifestyle interventions. This research is a review of the literature related to community-based care and the effectiveness of the application of lifestyle interventions for pre-diabetics. No integrated lifestyle intervention currently exists in Taiwan for people with pre-diabetes. It is hoped that our review results can be useful as a reference for those involved in primary prevention of pre-diabetes.
