Motor Skill Factor of Soft Tennis Players

摘要

Purposes: To investigate the motor skill characteristic of soft tennis (ST) players. Methods: The volunteers were the male high school ST players (n=43). 3 tested categories of motor skill with twenty motor skill test items designed, 2 for speed, 15 for ST motor skills (4 for serve, 4 for reserve, 2 for flat Shot, 4 for volley, 1 for overhead), and 3 for endurance, and tested by 2 echelon. Each echelon had 4 test days (2 days by first test and 2 days by second test). Each test day tested with 10 motor skill test items. The principal component analysis were used to analyze the data (α=.05). Results: Out of the 20 ST motor skills indicators, seven facets are extracted which cover 20 of the indicators, the twice of internal consistence was .71 and .73, the test-retest reliability was at least .83 (p<.05), the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) measure of sampling adequacy was .72, the Bartlett's sphericity test was 341.13 (p<.05). Seven factors, accounted for the variation by 71.75%, were obtained. The factor one included two speed tests and three endurance tests (pct of variation by 18.81% /communality by 0.81). The factor two included four volley tests (10.09%/0.73). The factor three included two reserved with ”reserve during overhead serve” tests (9.80%/0.64). The factor four included 4 serve tests (9.39%/0.65). The factor five included two reserve with ”reserve during low slice serve” test (8.61%/0.67). The factor six included forehand and backhand flat shot tests (8.07%/0.69). The factor seven only overhead test (6.98%/0.79). Conclusions: The motor skill characteristic of ST players composed with 7 indicators of ”speed endurance”, ”volley”, ”reserve during overhead serve”, ”serve”, ”reserve during low slice serve”, ”flat shot” and ”overhead”, they make motor skill characteristic of ST more clearly, can be used as an important reference for in-game strategy adjustment or training.
