海洋通識教育課程:澎湖海洋運動概論

General Education Course: The Introduction of Penghu Ocean Sports

摘要


國立澎湖科技大學為推廣海洋教育,提升該校學生的海洋認知與促進海洋運動之參與,於104學年度下學期(上課時間為2015年2月至6月)開設「澎湖海洋運動概論」之通識課程,上課內容涵蓋衝浪、浮潛、立式划槳(Stand-Up Paddle,SUP)、海洋獨木舟、衝浪板製作。該課程因考量安全因素,設有選課門檻(選課學生必須具備徒手游泳50公尺能力),共有18人修課,為了瞭解參與該課程學生的學習效果,在學期末針對所有學生作了學習評量。學習評量是要求學生對該課程發表一篇上課心得報告,並針對該課程的各項內容與學生之學習動機、熱忱、參與度設計一份5分制之問卷調查,由學生之回答判斷該課程之學習效果,以作為未來開課之參考。評量結果顯示學生有很強的選課與學習動機,完成本學期的海洋運動課程後,絕大部分同學更喜歡海洋,而且覺得很充實,有成就感,並認為該課程使他們的大學生活更加精采活潑,也非常願意推薦該課程給其他同學。

In order to promote ocean awareness and improve ocean sports skills among the students of National Penghu University, a course named "Introduction of Penghu Ocean Sports" was provided at the 2nd semester of 2015. The course covered subjects like surfing, snorkeling, Stand-Up Paddle (SUP), ocean kayaking and surf board DIY (Do It Yourself). There are 18 students participated in this course due to a course pre-requirement of swimming over 50 meter without assistance. A study evaluation was conducted at the end of the semester to understand the learning effectiveness and the feedback of participating students. The study evaluation includes a written report plus a 15-item questionnaire to understand students' motivation and enthusiasm to study this course. The evaluation could help the teacher understand students' preferences of various subjects and their rating on this course. Most students gave positive feedback on this course and would recommend this course to other students. They also commented this course made their university lives more interesting and lively.
