Efficacy of Simultaneous Use of Mifepristone and Misoprostol for Early Abortion
摘要
早期以藥物流產的方法，最常用的藥方為口服200或600 mg mifepristone，2天後，再使用misoprostol。最近研究證明，兩藥的間隔時間由48小時減至6-8小時，結果差不多。甚至，此兩藥同時使用，效果亦不錯。這種同步用藥的方法，可以減少病患之焦慮和往返醫院之次數，值得研究發展。

For early medical abortion, the most widely accepted regimens involve oral mifepristone in either a 200- or 600-mg dose, followed 2 days later by misoprostol. A recent study shows that the success rate of complete abortion remains unchanged even if the interval between administration of mifepristone and subsquent administration misoprostol decreased from 36-48 hours to 6-8 hours. Also research reveals that the therapeutic effect is good when the two drugs are used concurrently. The simultaneous use of mifepristone and misoprostol could reduce patient anxiety and avoid returning to the hospital for administration of misoprostol.
