探討婦女參與乳癌篩檢的影響因素:焦點團體訪談研究

To Explore Factors Associated with Participation of Women in Breast Cancer Screening: A Focus Group Interview Study

摘要


目的:本研究探討婦女接受乳癌篩檢的影響因素和其對於多元篩檢地點(社區和醫院篩檢)和主要篩檢訊息接收管道的看法。方法:採用立意取樣,招募大高雄地區符合乳篩條件之45-69歲或40-44歲有家族史的婦女,於2017年1月到6月底期間進行4場焦點訪談,每場參加婦女人數約5-7人,總共訪談23位婦女。參與民眾同意並簽署受試者同意書後進行全程錄音。焦點訪談紀錄經繕打成逐字稿,利用直接內容分析進行關鍵論題的編碼。結果:研究結果發現接受乳癌篩檢婦女通常是較能認同和了解乳篩的重要性和益處者,特別是當婦女自覺罹患風險較高、自覺嚴重性較高或自覺利益較高等。此外,適當提供多元的篩檢服務地點和有效的行動線索等也會增加婦女接受乳篩的動機。結論:透過了解可能影響婦女接受乳篩的因素等、民眾對於多元篩檢地點的看法以及主要外部訊息接收管道等,研究結果可提供乳篩執行單位擬定乳癌篩檢健康促進策略以及有效分配醫療資源的參考。

Objective: To explore factors, choices of multiple screening sites and cues to action associated with participation of women in breast cancer screening (BSC). Methods: This study used purposive sampling to recruit those eligible to participate BSC program in Kaohsiung area (45-69 or 40-44 years old with family history). Four focus groups were conducted during January to June 2017. Total 23 women agreed to participate. Direct content analysis was used to explore themes from the transcripts. Results: The study found women who received BSC tended to be those who were aware the importance and benefits of BSC, and had high perceived susceptibility, perceived seriousness, and high perceived benefits. Additionally, multiple screening sites and effective cues to action provided improve participation. Conclusions: Through investigating factors, choices of screening site and cues to action affecting BSC behaviors, this study provided implications regarding the implementation of strategies for BSC and effective allocation health resources.
