摘要

社群網站改變了人們跟朋友聯繫和分享資訊的方法，而其中用戶最多的臉書在全球約有13.1 億用戶。本研究的主旨在探討人格特質對臉書使用原因和使用功能選擇的影響。研究假設有二：不同人格特質在臉書使用原因有顯著差異、不同人格特質在臉書使用功能選擇有顯著差異。本研究的研究對象是南部某一大學的學生，用便利抽樣法發放了500 問卷，其中有效問卷為441 份。資料分析採用SPSS22.0軟體，統計方法計有描述性統計、信度與效度分析和統計顯著水準為p＜.05 的獨立樣本t 檢定。研究結果顯示多數人使用臉書的主要原因是跟既有的朋友保持聯繫和了解朋友的狀況，其次是用來打發時間和消遣。高度外向的人比其他人格特質的人跟喜歡用臉書的塗鴉牆和動態功能來跟朋友保持聯繫，而低度穩定或神經質的人喜歡用臉書來打發時間和使用動態及按讚功能。其他人格特質的人在使用原因和使用功能選擇的差異不顯著。

Social networking sites have changed how people connect and share information with friends. Among the social networking sites, Facebook is the largest one with 1.31 users worldwide. The main purpose of this study is to explore personality’s influences on reasons of using Facebook and choices of Facebook functions. Two hypotheses were proposed: different personality traits have significantly different reasons of using Facebook, and different personality traits have significantly different choices of Facebook functions. A convenient sampling method was used to collect data from 500 students of a southern Taiwan university, and SPSS Statistics 22.0 was used to analyze 441 valid data sets. Statistics methods included descriptive statistics, reliability and validity tests, t tests with a statistical significance level of p＜.05. The results showed main reason of using Facebook were to keep in touch with friends and know friends’ status, and another reason was to pass time or use it for entertainment. In comparison with other personality traits, people with high extraversion tended to use Facebook Wall and Status fucntions to keep in touch with their friends. People with low emotional stability or neuroticism tended to use Facebook to pass time and use Status and Likes functions. Other personality traits did not show significant differences in reasons of using Facebook and choices of Facebook functions.
