摘要

唐代兩浙地區的經濟發展十分快速，其中各式手工業更是蓬勃發展，尤以潤州、蘇州、越州及杭州等地的手工業最為著名。唐代兩浙地區的手工業，以其創新性、高超的技術及多樣化的產品，而受到當時宮廷及人們的喜愛。然而這些著名的手工業，不但使用了大量的木材、樹皮及藤蔓等作為製造原料，並且絶大部分手工業在製程中，使用木柴或木炭作為燃料，對森林造成了不同程度的破壞，以致部分地區的森林及剡藤等特有植物的甚至面臨消失的命運，對於自然生態環境產生不可磨滅的負面影響。

The economy of Che-hsi and Che-tung area in Tang Dynasty advanced more than pervious dynasties, and various kinds of handicraft industries flourished well then, especially in Runchow, Soochow, Hangchow, and Yuehchow. The handicraft industry of Che-hsi and Che-tung area attracted lots of people's attention because of its innovation, fine technique, and product diversification. Metalworking, shipbuilding, porcelain, salt, tea, building, gold and silver, textile, and paper industry were most important during that time. However, these outstanding handicraft industries not only used considerable natural resources, such as wood and bark, as raw materials, but also some even required wood or charcoal as fuel in manufacturing process, which had a negative impact on the natural environment then.
