摘要

本研究旨在探討臺灣新聞媒體報導運動競賽時，在男女性別上差異的情形，以聯合報、蘋果日報與自由時報導2008北京奧運的照片報導內容爲分析對象，分析時間自2008年8月7日至8月26日止。本研究採內容分析法，具體之結論如下：一、臺灣報紙照片報導2008年北京奧運男性的比例約爲女性的二倍，運動世界呈現的是以男性爲主的現象。二、臺灣報紙對有關運動新聞中男女性別照片的報導，會因爲報導的運動項目、呈現人數、人物對象、參賽國家、人物表情、運動形態、運動員名次的不同而有差異。

The purpose of this study was to analyze that news media report on sports in the different gender. The content of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in Taiwan’s United Daily, Apple Daily and Liberty times photographs were collected as the subjects for this study. The content analysis was adopted as the instrumentations of this study. The research period was from 7 August 2008 through 26 August 2008. The conclusions were as follows:
First, the proportion of Taiwan newspapers pictures coverage of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games that masculine approximately for feminine two times, indicating a strong male hegemony in sport-related careers in Taiwan. Second, Taiwan newspapers to the related Beijing 2008 Olympic Games photographic coverage in the male and female were difference , because of the sports events, the number of people, the object, the country/area, the character expression, the condition of people and the rank of position.
