處於江右與泰州之間的儒者耿定向-一個跨越陽明後學分派畛域的人物典型

Confucian Geng Ding-Xiang between Jiangyou and Taizhou-A Typical Figure across the Boundary of Yang Ming School

摘要


黃宗羲以江右為得陽明之傳,而不滿於泰州之流弊,其《明儒學案》將耿定向列入〈泰州學案〉,亦對之多有貶抑。但若還原史實,則知耿定向在當時與江右王門學者多所交流,如曾與鄒善、胡直等結為「心友」,而鄒德涵、劉元卿亦出其門,皆對其肯定推崇。然黃宗羲對耿定向所得泰州平實之旨,多所質疑;而對耿定向近於江右、能得陽明之旨的學術內涵,更無從正視。故本文藉由考察耿定向所作王心齋、鄒東廓、羅念菴三人之傳,申明耿定向統攝泰州、江右之學術內涵,其說之於陽明本旨,及泰州、江右學術之精神,皆可見其醇正與精微,值得後人重加表彰。

Huang Zong-xi deem Jiangyou School is the one who get Yang-ming's inheritance and dissatisfaction with the disadvantage of Taizhou school. His Ming Ru Xue An included Geng Ding-xiang in the Taizhou School and there are a lot of criticism for him. But if we restore the historical facts, we'll know at the time Geng Ding-xiang usually communicated with the scholars of Jiangyou School. For example, Zou-shan, Hu-zhi and he had been "spiritual Friends" and Zou De-han and Liu yuan-qing were his students. These people all praised him highly. However, Huang Zong-xi doubted the plain purpose of Taizhou School that Geng Ding-xiang obtained. He did't even pay attention on Geng Ding-xiang's connotations of academic which catch Yang-ming's decree and similar to Jiangyou School. So this thesis survey biographies of Wang Xin-zhai, Zou Dong-kuo and Luo Nian-an that written by Geng Ding-xiang to affirm Geng Ding-xiang's theory is unifying the connotations of Taizhou School and Jiangyou School. And we can find his theory in Yang-ming's purpose and the essence of Taizhou School and Jiangyou School is mellow and precision. It is worthy of our praise.
