在此研究將以波依斯(Joseph Beuys)所提出的社會雕塑理論(Theory of Social Sculpture)之藝術實踐作為本研究核心,設定處理社會議題、以當代藝術家多元的「參與」概念做為方法的實踐。以理論分析法作為主要研究方法,研究範圍是以2010年到2016年間發表作品、展覽的台灣當代藝術家,對象細部範圍包括各大美術館作品發表、民間藝廊展出實施、以及官方支持國藝會視覺藝術策展專案補助計畫,並同時擴大參考國藝會從2007-2010年之間,所進行的社區/社群之研究計畫。以多方角度探討當代藝術以藝術介入社會事件的影響與效果。本研究將嘗試爬梳: (1)「藝術與社會參與」的藝術實踐在台灣發展的背景與相關脈絡為何?同步以社會雕塑理論角度,處理的台灣當代藝術議題、論述、實踐(2)2010年到2016年間發表作品、展覽的台灣當代藝術家中具有「藝術介入社會」傾向的藝術家研究,分為三個類別來探討:「以藝術研究再現社會」、「以藝術介入社會與歷史」;「以藝術研究揭露社會」(3)綜合歸納這些藝術實踐之計畫成果,並嘗試敘述其影響。本研究認為社會參與的藝術作品與藝術家在台灣2010年之後的發展,偏向探討藝術與社會之間之議題,對觀眾、社區/社群的影響易受相關社會議題與主題而異。藝術家嘗試與社會溝通的結果,確實為社會與當代藝術創造出更多的對話空間。
The research based on Theory of Social Sculpture by Joseph Beuys and the art practice as the core of this research. The discussion in this research focus on the way artists who represent their idea by creating the art works. Take theoretical analysis as the research method,. And the research targets are the artists who present their works during 2010 to 2016, including in gallery, museum, and the kind of art plan which government as the sponsor(from 2007 - 2010) for artists who do research to the society or community. This research tries to figure out the impact of art practice by several different way. And try to ask: (1) The background situation of the art practice in Taiwan. (2) Divide the artist who present artworks from 2010 to 2016 into three part: 'represent society by Arts Practice', 'Art intervention and the history of society', and 'Reveal society by art research '. (3) And then, organized these result into the final chapter. The result of this research figure out that most of these art plan focus on the issues and events, which concerned by most of people. The extend of the impact to people will rely on the type of the social events. And the exhibition and the art work do create more space for people between the society and the social issue.
