論鍾怡雯散文書寫:「凝視」中的原鄉-一個離散/反離散個案的討論

On Chong Yee-Voon's Prose Writing: Hometown in 〞Gazes〞-Discussion of a Diaspora/Against Diaspora case

摘要


鍾怡雯的散文無論在台灣或在馬華文學場域中,均展示了她的才氣和成就。本文主要回顧她1990年代的得獎散文直到她在2007年出版的半自傳散文集《野半島》,闡述在她散文中「原鄉」的意義。透過「凝視」童年和青少年時期的記憶,逐步把家鄉的故事逐步「他者化」,成了她散文中重要的審美範疇、意義物件和符號。在散文的虛實之間,完成她個人生命經驗的觀照。離散的經驗成就了她的散文,但與猶太人的「離散」(diaspora)概念是否尚有差距呢?倘若以史書美「反離散」的論述檢驗鍾怡雯的個案,鍾怡雯是否可能成為她所提出的華語語系文學底下有趣和典型的個案?「離散」應當是一個描述性的修辭,抑或是一種認同價值的存在?依循以上問題意識,所謂「離散」是否應當在方法論上有更為嚴謹的定義和討論呢?這是本文嘗試論證和探討的問題。

Chong Yee-Voon's prose has demonstrated her outstanding talents and achievements in the fields of Taiwan and Mahua literature. This article reviews her publications, from the award-winning essays published in 1990s to her semi-autobiographical essay, titled Wild Peninsula, published in 2007. Also, this article interprets the meaning of 〞hometown〞 in her essays. By scrutinizing into the memories of her childhood and adolescence, she was gradually 〞otherized〞 from the stories of the hometown. This has become an important aesthetic category, meaning object and symbol in her prose. Between the false and the real of the prose, complete the observation of her personal life experience. This article discusses and explores the following aspects: is there a deference between her interpretation of 〞Diaspora〞 from Jewish? f the case of Chong Yee-Voon is examined by Shih Shu-mei' s 〞Against Diaspora〞 argument, can Chong Yee-Voon be an interesting and typical case under the Chinese language literature? Should 〞discreteness' be a descriptive rhetoric or a kind of identity value? Following the above-mentioned problem awareness, should the so-called 〞diaspora〞 be more rigorously defined and discussed in terms of methodology? This is the question that this article attempts to demonstrate and explore.
