摘要

當代台灣客家流行音樂已經成為一個蓬勃發展的現象，也呈現出複雜多樣的面貌。客家研究應如何定義與理解當代客家流行音樂？當代客家流行音樂傳達出怎樣的「客家經驗」、如何描繪客家文化？音樂創作者又如何傳達與展示自己的文化認同？
文本以分析探索當代客家流行音樂如何再現客家的族群意像與生活經驗；創作者如何在台灣複雜的音樂背景之下，從各種音樂素材結合客家經驗，轉折、連結、置換出混雜的客家樣貌；以及從音樂的文本之中思索族群音樂的邊界與自我定義；進而詮釋族群音樂複雜的文化認同問題。

Popular Hakka music is rising and flourishing in contemporary Taiwan. Thus, it is important to define and interpret Hakka popular music based on the portrays of ”Hakka experience”, ”Hakka culture” and ”Hakka identity” from the perspectives of Hakka artists.
This paper will explore the representation of ethnic image, live experience of the Hakka: how the Hakka artists combine the various cultural materials to transfer, replace and create new ”Hakka hybridity” in popular music; how Hakka artists redefine themselves and reset ethnic boundaries of the Hakka music; how the complex issues of cultural identity from Hakka popular music are identified.
