The main purpose of the protect domestic violence victims from future abuse, but some evidences showed that the abnormally motivated cases did exist and the judges still issued the protection order for these cases. The purpose of this study is to explore the causes of these cases among marital violence. Five abusers among these cases were interviewed based on the in-depth interview method. Two types of abnormally motivated cases were used to differentiate the five cases. Type One abnormal case is that the victim might try to 'abuse' protection order for unjust purpose, and the Type Two abnormal case is the victim might have mental disorder and 'misuse' the protection order. This study found that the causes of Type One cases included that the victims intent to occupy the property belonged to abuser and the victims tried to cover up the extra-marital affair, and the cause of Type Two cases was the victims were mental disorder patients. The suggestions for dealing with these cases were also discussed in the end.
