以性別為基礎探析自尊對男性護理人員於臨床護理之影響

長久以來「護理知識等於女性知識」，護理專業於社會認知上係為「女性的工作」，此專業始終圍繞著「性別」的意味，而忽略其是需要專業知識及技能的職業。自尊是自我概念的一部分，其蘊含著社會評價的意涵，當個體擁有高自尊時，則會表現較正向的生活型態與行為，高自尊者較願意支持社會價值體系及重視自我於他人眼中的形象，更能迎合社會主流價值的規範。乃鑑於深感台灣地區男性護理人員日益增加，而護理領域以男性護理人員為題的相關探究，仍處於啟蒙發芽階段。本文試圖以「性別」及「自尊」之相關意涵與概念等文獻進行彙集，希冀藉以累積以「男性護理人員」為題之學術資源，亦作為護理領域後續實證研究及臨床護理實務應用之參考。

Since a long time ago,”nursing knowledge is women's knowledge”. The nursing profession is regarded by society as women's work. It is throughout surrounded by the implication of gender, and the fact is neglected that it is a profession in which professional knowledge and skills are necessary. Self-esteem is part of self-concept, and it contains the meaning of social evaluation. When one possesses high self-esteem, individual's lifestyle and behavior will be more positive. In addition, people with high self-esteem tend to be more willing to support the social value system, pay more attention to their self-images on other people's minds, and better cater to the norm of social mainstream values. In consideration of that males nurses gradually increase in Taiwan, but in the nursing field, research on male nurse is still in the initial stage, this paper attempts to compile the literature relevant to the meaning and concepts of gender and self-esteem in the hope of accumulating academic resources on male nurse as well as providing reference to the future empirical research and clinical nursing practice.
