我國技專校院通識教育現況調查研究

The Study of Present Situation of General Education in Technological & Vocational Colleges

摘要


通識教育對於技職教育有其價值性及重要性,但國內對於技專院校之通識教育的研究實為有限,基於此,本研究之目的在於透過文獻分析、問卷調查、文件分析及焦點團體等多種方法,瞭解技專校院實施通識教育的現況及其所面臨的困境與問題,並根據研究結果提出具體建議。具體而言,本研究主要結果如下:一、在全國各技專校院通識教育實施理念及現行體制方面1.各技專院校的通識教育理念呈現多元的現象,但以「全人教育」為主;對於通識教育的定義目前尚無統一的看法。2.在93所學校中,除了少數設立共同科目外,其餘各校大都設立通識教育中心,屬於一級單位居多。二、在全國各技專校院通識教育之課程結構方面各校對課程結構之切入角度及分類規準不一,有些學校以核心課程及基礎課程劃分,有些學校以學門或行政層級劃分通識教育課程。三、在教師對現階段通識教育課程的認知與看法方面1.專業系所與通識教育單位應該加強「彼此對通識教育的共識」及「彼此對通識教育課程內容的安排」。2.多數受試教師認為授課課程與其專長相符合,而通識教育教師之進修成長活動主要是以參與學術研討會及專題演講為主,其次是研習營。四、在學生對現階段通識教育課程的認知與看法方面1.在受試學生中約有七成滿意教師的教學及自己所選的通識課程。2.學生選修通識課程主要的考量因素中排前三者的分別是「對課程的學習興趣」、「課程的內容」及「排課的時間」。根據研究結果,本研究最後針對教育主管機關、各技專院校及未來研究,分別提出建議以供推動及改進通識教育之參考。

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the present situation of technological & vocational colleges in general education. The methods used to collect and analyze data in this research conclude literature review, document analysis, focus group and questionnaire surveys. The results of this study are as follows: First, each of the technological & vocational colleges in the goal of general education exhibit multiple characteristics.;second, most of the technological & vocational colleges establish general education center.; third, in curriculum of general education, most of the technological & vocational colleges are different.; fourth, teachers of professional department and teachers of general education should often carry on a dialogue to reach a consensus on general education.; fifth, most of the technological & vocational college students choose courses of general education acoording to learning interest, curriculum and time.; finally, according to the results of this study, the researchers try to make some suggestions to improve general education of technological & vocational colleges in Taiwan area.
