The purpose of this study is to discuss about the media strategy for Chief of Taipei county campaign in 2005. This findings show that both candidates choose TV as the main vehicle for their campaign. As length of TVC materials are all about 15-30 seconds and most of TVC run in November. Besides, it can be found that Cable (Satellite) TV is the main option instead of Terrestrial TV, and news channels possess most part of media expenditure. As for the preference of cable TV network for both candidates, Luo prefers Sanli group and Chou likes to choose Cti group for his media buy. Furthermore, for the preference of political talk shows (first run), Da-hwa News (大話新聞) of Sanli news channel is the main choice for Luo; 2100 in TVBS channel is the one for Chou.
