高齡化議題探討－兼論高齡諮商特性

摘要

長照體系多著重高齡者身體健康醫療照顧，心理健康照顧易因照顧人力短缺、缺乏專業敏感度而忽略潛在心理風險，加重醫療成本的照顧負擔，提高死亡機率，增加社會成本。但高齡者即使面臨生理老化，人格與智慧發展仍具發展性與超越性，因此維護心理健康有助提升生活品質。本文整理相關研究並佐以實務經驗探討高齡化相關議題，包含社會性議題（退休適應）、生理性議題（失能臨終）、心理性議題（憂鬱症狀）、生命性議題（喪偶死亡）、安全性議題（老人虐待），最後從高齡諮商專業性、文化性、個人性及倫理性來說明其獨特性，希望能提供有志從事高齡諮商夥伴實務上參考。
