The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of job stress and emotional labor of high school teachers on the subjective well-being and to examine the moderating effects of horticulture healing on the aforementioned relationships. High school teachers were invited to participate in this study. A total of 440 questionnaires were delivered and a total of 409 usable questionnaires were finally achieved with effective rate of 93%. The results of this study indicate that (1) job stress has a negative and significant effect on the subjective well-being; (2) emotional labor has an insignificant effect on the subjective well-being; (3) emotional labor and job stress has a positive and significant effect on the relationship; (4) the moderating effect of horticulture healing on the relationship between job stress and subjective well-being is significant; (5) and the moderating effect of horticulture healing on the relationship between emotional labor and subjective well-being is insignificant. Managerial implications and future research directions are also provided in the study.
