Efficiency Evaluation for the Technology of Modern Manufacturing Industry in China

Modern manufacturing is the industry using high technology and advanced science and technology to process and reprocess raw materials, to produce and assemble the production equipments and spare parts of all the industries in national economy. Malmquist Index shows that technical efficiency of modern manufacturing were growing, being mainly caused by the growth of the scale efficiency, and total factor productivity (TFP) of modern manufacturing industry do not exist differences in China. The government should plan as a whole the technical force of top manufacturing enterprises, focus on the industry's generic technology research, breakthrough technical bottleneck, in promoting the original innovation at the same time, to make absorbing innovation and integrated innovation with using the existing advanced achievements at home and abroad.
