The main purpose of this research is to find out what happens about some deformations of the plastic single-slit's diffraction pattern. Compare the student's experiment results with the theoretical solutions of Fourier optics derived by computer simulations (Matlab). Another purpose of this research is attempt to build compatible detectors of the PASCO 750 interface. The linear motion sensor and the light intensity sensor was successfully completed. The physics of these detector's are good topics of teaching application in our physics Labs.
