Interdisciplinary Popular Science Practical Education - Mushroom Sun Bath is Better than People Sun Bath

From the popular science teaching on the Internet, Sun Bath mushrooms by the window at home are used to increase the vitamin D2 content of mushrooms. A mistake was found that ultraviolet light (UV) cannot pass through normal glass. There are good and bad teaching videos on the Internet; therefore, popular science education of analyzing UV and Sun Bath mushrooms from the perspective of physics has arisen. It is hoped to demonstrate the concept between UV in sunlight and vitamin D2 synthesis of mushrooms through precise information. Finally, we designed a practical teaching general education course named: "Sun Bath People is worse than Sun Bath mushrooms." Through the practice of sun bath mushrooms, students' interest in learning vivid physics will be enhanced. From interactive education, students will have a sense of participation. We want to promote the practice of sun bath mushrooms in families. Therefore, we ask students to cook, take a photo, eat, and do the sun bath mushrooms again at home as homework. With this teaching plan, we hope that more teachers can refer to it and that there will be more driving forces to improve the serious public health problem of vitamin D deficiency in more than 70% of Taiwan's population.
