具有動能與位能整合運用的波浪發電裝置

A Wave Electricity-Generation Device with Integrated Utilization of both Potential and Kinetic Energy

摘要


台灣四面環海,具有豐富的海洋潮流,海洋波浪為一個穩定持續的潔淨天然能量來源,如何利用波浪能以產生電力,成為一個非常值得探討的課題。本文為關於將波浪能量轉換為發電動能的機構設計,特點在於為結合空氣渦輪的振盪水柱(oscillator water column, OWC)型式波浪能量轉換裝置在海水上升時所提供的位能,以及溢頂(overtopping device, OTD)型式波浪能量轉換裝置在海水下落過程所具有的動能,以有效提升波浪能量轉換的操作效率。所提出探討的能量轉換架構可稱為溢頂振盪水柱型式(overtopped oscillator water column, OTOWC)。在一個波浪水流的周期動力循環中,假設所轉換的位能與動能大略相等,則所創作的溢頂振盪水柱型式(OTOWC)裝置,將可以得到約兩倍於溢頂(OTD)裝置的旋轉動能。而且,由於新增位能所帶動的氣渦輪旋轉,以及動能釋放所推動的水渦輪旋轉,為交替輸出旋轉動力的運作方式,因此,將可使發電機產生更連續與穩定的旋轉動力。

The paper is regarding mechanism design of a wave energy conversion (WEC) device for electricity generation. The device is featured with improving energy conversion efficiency by comprising potential energy from sea water rising of an oscillator water column (OWC) type WEC, and kinetic energy from sea water falling of an overtopping device (OTD). The proposed WEC device is named an overtopped oscillator water column (OTOWC). Assuming the quantity of transformed potential energy and kinetic energy are approximately the same during a wave periodically dynamic cycle, then twice of the dynamic energy obtained in a conventional OTD can be acquired in the invented OTOWC. Moreover, the gas turbine driven by potential energy from rising water and the hydraulic turbine driven by kinetic energy from falling water are performed alternatively; therefore, the rotating dynamic force for electricity generation can be obtained in a much continual and steady manner.
