Research of Risk Control of GM Technology in Food Products Based on Model of Risk Amplification Effect in China: Case of 2013 GM Cyber-controversy

The GM technology in food products in China takes the leading position around the world, but the technology is hotly disputed by general public. This study uses risk amplification effect model and take "2013 GM Cyber-Controversy" in China as an example. The authors analyze the process how the risk on GM technology in China expanded. Then points out the liability subject of the process and the consequence of the risk amplification. Finally, the paper provides some valuable suggestions on risk control of GM foods based on the results of the analysis.
