光度、溫度及鹽度對螺旋藻超氧歧化酵素產量及抗氧化之影響

The Effects of Light Intensity, Temperature and Salinity on the Production of Superoxide Dismutase and Antioxidation of Spirulina Platensis

摘要


螺旋藻(Spirulina platensis)被發現含有高量抗氧化物、維生素A和β-胡蘿蔔素及超氧歧化酵素(superoxide dismutase, SOD)等,可幫助人體降低自由基的傷害,因此成為保健機能食品市場的熱門標的。本研究擬探討不同光照度、溫度及鹽度等培養條件對螺旋藻清除自由基DPPH及超氧陰離子活性的影響。實驗結果顯示最適螺旋藻培養條件為光照強度介於2000~4000 Lux、溫度介於30~37℃及鹽度0.1M以下之環境,培養42天後的螺旋藻最高生質產量可達6.0gL;此外,藻體甲醇萃取物清除自由基DPPH及超氧陰離子的能力測試結果顯示自由基清除率最高分別可達51.3%及34.5%,具有開發為高經濟與高營養價值保健品之潛力。

Spirulina platensi has been the candidate for commercial high-quality health food, due to it has high content of antioxidant, vitamin A, β-carotenoid and superoxide dismutase (SOD). This study was focus at the effects of varied culture conditions including light intensity, temperature, and salinities on the growth and the anti-oxidative activity of Spirulina platensi. The results indicated that the optimum culture conditions for the growth of Spirulina platensi were as follows, 2000-4000 Lux of light intensity, 30-37℃ and lower than 0.1M of salinity. After 42 days cultivation, the max bio-mass will be more than 6.0 g/L in dry based. Additionally, the scavenging activity of the methanol extract of Spirulina platensi for DPPH and superoxide free radicals will be 51.3% and 34.5%, respectively. From this study, the Spirulina platensi could be provided as an effective antioxidant and further developed as health food.
