The purposes of this study were to discuss different composed squat resistance training on leg strength and start power, Twenty college swimmers were average assigned to two groups (GA & GB) according to 1RM legs strength, were trained with squat resistance training two times a week for six weeks. In weeks 1-3 and weeks 4-6, GA performed 65% 15RM plus 90% 4RM, GB performed 900/0 4RM plus 65% 15RM squat weight training. The result showed that GA only significance improved in maximal leg strength (MLS), GB significance improved in MLS, time of 5m (5mT), start power (P). Conclusion indicate that different composed training also ameliorated MLS, but 5mT and P related to swimming skill, further study is necessary to clarify.
