性別平等的價值追求及相關概念與主張的倡議,都是目前政府、民間,及各界所重視的議題,然而,在筆者求學或任教之初,這些當前重視的課題,卻不曾也不會出現於學界、政界或哪一正式場合。以往所奉行並被認定為必需及必然的價值,而今卻成為被顛覆和受到質疑與打破的觀念。同時,受限於不同文化背景、生活方式、時空環境或宗教及社會等價值與現實因素的影響,性別平等與平權的討論與爭議,仍舊存在個別的面貌、表現與價值選擇的差異,而不能也無法以普世價值和統一與規範化的概念或想像一概視之。加以社會變化和觀念轉變及價值流轉速率的增快,即使是同一國家和社會,在不同的時間,對此議題也多存在不一樣的關注與傾向。伴隨各項法規、政策的制定與落實,及性平教育的深化和推進,以往僵固的性別刻板印象,和性別歧視普遍存在的情形,對於去除性別刻板印象,尊重性別差異化,及尊重不同性別氣質和特質,已逐漸於校園、職場和知識界形成共識,但卻不能因此認為,性別刻板印象與性別歧視,可以就此消失。因為要改變固有的認同與想像,或者希望於生活中,革除已經習慣的行為和表述方式,其實仍屬不易。如此,筆者希望藉由論文的進行,針對去性別刻板印象與性別歧視的當前表現,從不同的角度和面相進行討論與觀察。
Promoting gender equality, no matter in fostering its value or implementing its practices, were main issue emphasized and prioritized by government and general public. However, it was neglected when I was at school or just started to teach. The core value at then is criticized and even overturned at present. Influencing by different culture, religion, social values, social transformation, changing value proposition, etc., discussion and criticism about gender equality has been highly polarized in its difference among individual expression and personal value proposition. Due to enforcement of law and education in gender equality, eliminating gender stereotypes and appreciating gender and personality difference has gradually become the board consensus among education and workplace. However, gender stereotypes and discriminations still exist and were difficult to eliminate due to obstacles in value transformation. The research will illustrate and discuss the phenomena about eliminating gender stereotypes and gender discrimination at present.
