屏東地區老年人性知識與性態度及其相關因素之探討

摘要

目標：本研究主要目的在探討屏東地區老年人之性知識、性態度及其相關性。方法：本研究採用橫斷性調查，研究對象來自參加屏東長青學院的屏東地區65歲以上居民，以立意取樣，共收集308位有效樣本。以結構式的問卷收集研究對象性知識與性態度，進行相關資料的分析。結果：研究結果顯示（1）約有63.6%表示仍有性生活；有98.7%老年人表示目前還是有性慾；（2）性別的差異在性生活達統計上的顯著水準；（3）老人性知識的平均得分為35.06 分，答對率為60.03%；（4）影響老人性知識的因素有性別、慢性病、婚姻狀況、性行為、性態度；（5）性知識、性態度與性行為成正相關；（6）性別、慢性病、婚姻狀況、性行為、性態度可解釋老人性知識的變異量為13.6%。結論：藉著此結果與討論，提供在臨床上的護理實務、長期照護機構工作人員屏東地區老年人之性知識、性態度及其相關性，期望能有完善的性教育於老年人護理或教育，促使老年人在性方面的照護更完善與合乎人性。

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to assess sexual knowledge and sexual attitude of the elderly residents in Pingtung area.Methods: A total of 308 elderly subjects aged over 65 years were recruited to attend this study by convenience sampling from the members of the Association of Community Development in Ping Tung City. The sexual knowledge and sexual attitudes of the subjects were assessed using contractual questionnaires.Results: The results indicate that (1) 98% of the elderly subjects still have sexual needs and 64% of them remain sexually active; (2) There are significant differences in sexual activities and sexual needs between the male and female subjects; (3) The mean score of sexual knowledge of all the subjects was 35.06, and the correct response rate was 60.03%; (4) Gender, marriage status, chronic disease, sexual life, and sexual desire emerge to be the related factors in sexual knowledge; (5) Sexual knowledge and sexual attitudes are positively correlated with sexual activity; (6) Gender, chronic disease, sexual life, and sexual desire determined 13.6% variances of sexual knowledge.Conclusions: The findings can be expected to help health professionals adjust their own attitudes regarding sexuality in old age and to improve their knowledge about the sexual needs of the elderly. Health professionals will be able to help the elderly express sexual needs or concerns in a freer and more open-minded manner and to provide comprehensive and humanistic elder-care.
