劉逢祿《左氏春秋考證》對「劉歆竄亂說」的確立

摘要


劉逢祿的《左氏春秋考證》被古史辨派學者錢玄同視為是晚清百年來「今文學運動」的起點,而這項運動的主要貢獻,實在於對經籍和舊史料中偽竄部分的考辨。劉逢祿在這本僅兩卷的小書當中,透過「文獻辨偽」和「經義辨正」等方式,考訂出《左傳》曾經被劉歆竄亂過的痕跡,並且以《春秋》大義為依歸,論證出《左傳》與《春秋》原本各自為書,實不必拿來比附經文以證明其存在之價值。前人研究或以為劉逢祿之考證乃今文學家的門戶之見,是對《左傳》一書的攻毀,但在細考《左氏春秋考證》之內文,以及該書修訂後以《左氏廣膏肓》為名,還有遍查劉逢祿各書序文中所言創作動機後,才了解他想要保留「《左氏》本真」,並且重視《左傳》史料價值之用心。

Liu Fenglu's "Zuo Shi Chun Qiu Kao Zheng" was regarded by Qian Xuantong, a scholar of "Gu Shi Bian Pai", as the starting point of the "Jin Wen Xue Yun Dong" in the late Qing Dynasty. His main contribution lies in the research and identification of forged historical materials. Through the methods of "recognizing the falsification of documents" and "discriminating the meaning of the classics", he examined the traces of Zuo Zhuan's tampering by Liu Xin. He proved that Zuo Chuan and Chunqiu are two books, and it is not necessary to show the value of Zuo Chuan through the connection between them. Previous studies believed that Liu Fenglu's textual research had a portal view and had the intention of attacking Zuo Chuan. However, after careful study of Liu Fenglu's creative motives, I realized that preserving the original appearance of Zuo Zhuan and its historical value are the main purpose of Liu Fenglu.
