從『民報』看台灣人的對日觀

本論文藉由檢討戰後初期的台灣報紙『民報』的評論與記事，分析了在戰後初期，也就是1945年10月到228事件前的這段時期，在中華民國政府統治下的台灣人的對日觀。要探討台灣人的對日觀，必須先了解到台灣的脫殖民地化是由國民政府所主導的這件事實，再從中找出以台灣人為主體，對日本殖民地統治評論批判的可能性。而用『民報』作為分析史料，則是因為『民報』是日治時期以台灣人為主體的報紙『台灣民報』所傳承下來的報紙。研究方法是以①關於在台日本人的報導、②對日治時代的天皇制的批判、③對日治時代的教育與影響的評價，這三點為重點，計算它們在『民報』中被刊登的次數，同時分析其代表的意義。分析的結果是，『民報』非常痛恨日本人藉由優越感而歧視虐待台灣人。而『民報』認為此優越感來自於日本的天皇制，於是對於天皇制也嚴厲批判。不過隨著時間推移，1946年夏天以後，『民報』開始把批評的對象轉移到跟日本人一樣歧視台灣人的國民政府上。

By sieving through editorials and journals such as the newspaper Min Pao and related articles, and analyzing the after war period between Oct 1945 to 228 Incident, this thesis examines Taiwanese's attitude towards the Japanese while under Republic of China (ROC)'s governance. Taiwanese' attitude towards Japan can be understood through the fact that the ROC's government led Taiwan out of the Japanese Occupation, and the possibility of having a Taiwanese-lead entity that criticized Japanese Occupation governance. Min Pao is considered as an important reference because it evolved from the Taiwan minpao, which was ran by Taiwanese during the Occupation Period. Analysis covers ①reports about Japanese people in Taiwan, ②criticisms towards the Kominka movement during Occupation period, and ③the effects of the Japanese education, these three points, and determine what they represent through the frequency of visiting said topics. The results show that Min Pao expressed a strong animosity towards Japanese mistreated Taiwanese due to superiority, which derived from the Japanese Emperor governance. In turn, the governance received heavy criticism as well. But as time moved on, after the summer of 1946, Min Pao pointed their fingers at the ROC government, just like the Japanese, that demonstrated the same prejudice towards Taiwanese.
