Appendicitis is the most common surgical abdomen. In general, physicians do not consider the possibility of appendicitis in patients with abdominal pain who have previously had an appendectomy. Here we repot a 47-year-old woman with stump appendicitis who had an appendectomy thirty years previously. She received opened appendectomy and was discharged in stable condition 2 days later. We want to remind physicians of this condition.
