摘要

本研究旨在探討一位21歲跨性別者的性別認同歷程以及周遭系統的支持情況。運用半結構式訪談法蒐集資料，以Devor的認同形成模式做為資料分類的架構，採用敘事研究法「類別─內容」方法分析資料。本研究發現，跨性別者目前的處境不論在LGBT群體或親密關係中皆受到社會父權、異性戀當道的壓迫；且兵役與醫療診斷等問題受到相關法令、政策的限制。在性別認同的歷程中，由於人們對於跨性別者的資訊瞭解不足，跨性別者大多時候是被孤立的。在面臨家人以及整個社會文化的不理解，以及少量的支持系統中，跨性別者仍努力找到力量，勇敢成為自己。

The purpose of this study was to explore the development of a 21-years-old transgender's gender identity and the support systems he received. We collected data through semi-structural interviews. Based on Devor's Identity Formation Model, the data were analyzed using the category-content analytic technique. The results of this study found that the transgender experienced the oppression by patriarchy and heterosexism within the LGBT groups and in intimate relationships. Moreover, he was confronted with the military service, medical, and diagnostic issues by the current laws and government policies. In the development of his gender identity, he felt isolated due to others' lack of understanding about transgender. However, the transgender has taken life bravely even though he was misunderstood by his families and others and received few supports.
