"Date rape" is a common and serious problem among teen couples. According to a U.S. national survey, up to a quarter of the 3,187 female college students reported that they had experienced rape or attempted rape, of which 84% of these rapes were committed by a acquaintance, and 57% were committed by a spouse or date. Although there are quite a few literatures trying to examine which factors are related to the occurrence of dating rape, these factors have not yet been systematically introduced in Taiwan. The purpose of this study is to collect, organize, and clarify the risk factors associated with dating rape, including the characteristics of dating rape victims and victims, the circumstances of dating rape, and other related variables, in order to draw some conclusions and implications concerning date rape in the future.
