The purpose of this research is to elaborate the parallels between the pragmatism of the New Age and the concepts of spirituality, and to reveal the current state of spiritual learning courses in Taiwan. The main findings of this research show that it is hard to distinguish the contents of spiritual learning courses from the concepts of pragmatism of the New Age, such as ”live in the present moment”, and ”experience this very life”. The actual circumstances of spiritual learning courses in Taiwan may be seen as the practice of the pragmatism of the New Age. It proclaims that one may live a more openly, uncurbed, and brighter life, and then create a promised land with freedom, love, and abundance, through transformation and self-healing.
