Study on the Liver and Kidney Biochemical Factors of the Fresh Eel Mucus and Its Saline Extracts in Rats

並列摘要

The eel breeding in Taiwan focuses on Anguilla japonica, and the market is mainly in food processing. Because the eel is a high economic fish, and the mucus produced during processing is recognized to reduce the rate of waste production, but the mucus was discarded in the past. However, in recent years, the study found that the mucus secreted by fish skin mucus cells is recognized to reduce the water resistance while the fish is swimming. Besides, it can defense predators, microorganisms and parasites' invade and attack. Also, it contains physiologically active substances, such as glycoprotein or protein, which can cause huge impact on animal's physiology. Therefore, the paper wants to discuss extracts of fresh eel mucus physiological effect on animals. The method of tube feeding is used to feed rat for four weeks, and then their biochemical indicators of liver and kidney function, and changes in weight are measured. Moreover, the method of rough set theory is integrated, and the liver and kidney function of eel mucus is used as impact factor to evaluate it's the physiological effects. Through the analyzing results, the values of biochemical indicators of liver and kidney function of rat body weight can be achieved. The results not only help researchers understand biochemical effects on rat, but also provide references for future research.
